How long is the lifespan of dental implants?

Stomatologists believe that: the average service life of fixed restorations and fixed teeth is 8 years. According to the American ADA dental implant clinical standards, the 5-year preservation rate is 95%, and the 10-year preservation rate is 85%. That is to say, the service life of oral implants should be far longer than that of traditional fixed restorations.

Implants need to be coordinated with natural teeth to maintain the normal oral and jaw system function. The dental implants are adjusted (occlused) regularly to adapt to the changing (occlusal) relationship.

Implants have a relationship between tooth body and periodontal similar to natural teeth. It is necessary to perform special implant cleaning around the implant and regular cleaning of the surrounding natural teeth. So as to maintain the long-term stability of dental implants.

Implants are composed of multiple parts like natural teeth, but the various parts of natural teeth are organically combined, while dental implants are connected by screws or adhesives.

Regularly check whether the various parts of the dental implant are faulty in order to Repair in time.

As long as you have good oral hygiene and regular inspections, artificial implants can last as long as real teeth.
